Is there a best time to sell?

It's interesting to note how so many things have their "seasons". Hockey in the winter, vacations in the summer, gardening in the spring and even retirement reportedly most often occurs in the fall.

To some extend real estate has it's seasons too. The spring is traditionally a more active time, but is it always the best time to list? Well, it's not that easy.

Homes usually sell throughout the entire year. Buyers are actively looking, when their need arises, which usually happens at all times of the year. It is true, that the market fluctuates throughout the year, however these fluctuation are impossible to predict in order to catch the right time. 

And there are other factors to consider. Things like economic underlying data, interest rate fluctuations and even events that occure hundreds if not thousands of miles away from the home you want to sell can have an impact on the successful sale of your home.
